RECOGNITION, IDENTITIES AND PARTICIPATION

A CRITICAL PROPOSAL TO THINK ABOUT THE CONCEPT OF “INCLUSION”

Abstract

The following article analyzes through various authors of epistemology and philosophy, the concept of inclusion as a polysemic and problematic concept that has at least three conceptual knots: the recognition of the other as a basic nucleus, the identity diversity that must be assumed as continuous proliferation of differences and participation as a relational modality. The analysis is contextualized through Chilean educational public policies in the area of inclusion. It concludes with the importance of understanding that the concept is relational and dynamic, that must imply not only integrating the concept into public policies but necessarily designing with the presence of other new modes of relationship.
