In this paper the presence and relevance of matter (determined and indeterminate) in Schopenhauer ́ idealist system will be showed. The objective that sought is to clarify the Schopenhauerian critique of materialism and to developed ontological and epistemological concepts of matter that are found in his works, because, in this way, we can have an overview of relevance to matter in Schopenhauer’s will system.
