RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE AND NATIONAL IDENTITY:
A PHILOSOPHICAL PERSPECTIVE

Many conflicts are arising in our time. They are connected, above all, with the present day situation we are living in. Being more precise they are born out of the co-existence of some religions-in particular the main monotheistic religions- and the secular culture dominant in the Western world. On top of that because they are conflicts raising up in the Western World related to religious and cultural identities. We ask ourselves in the essay: Are they conflicts and tensions unavoidable? Can philosophy, a philosophy of religions help in dealing with them and overcome then?
