TO THINK MEMORY
A TASK IN PERMANENT CONSTRUCTION
Keywords:
memoriaAbstract
When we talk about memory, there is always the discussion in relation to what we want to say, due to the inaccuracy of the term, but also as a result of the fact that always, behind a discourse about it, there are interests of the different groups to install “his” memory as unique and true. So, under this premise, the article seeks to review some of the main approaches to memory proposed by memory studies received in the Southern Cone, mainly from what was proposed by Elizabeth Jelin, to land them in the Chilean context from the approaches of the prominent psychologist Elizabeth Lira. In this way, in the final part of the writing, we will
seek to leave some final considerations circulating that make it possible to continue the discussion on a subject in permanent construction such as memory.
