IDENTITY AND RESIGNIFICATION AT THE FESTIVITY OF THE VIRGEN DEL CARMEN DE LA TIRANA

PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL IMPORT

Abstract

Every dialectic denies to affirm, sedimenting a nucleus of meaning in permanent qualitative projection. What scope could the construction of a church have on the ruins of an ancient indigenous ceremonial center? Any outline of response should, first of all, consider the strategic projection of such a site; Any time that intentionally based on an extrapolation of meanings, will go to pay tribute in the process of consolidation of the cultural project that comes. In effect, conversion strategy practiced on a continental scale, the cultural superposition carried out by the conquest invariably sought to influence the aboriginal imagination, rarefying the most sensitive and structuring of its orders: the cosmovisual. The reflection offered below attempts to thematize the scope of the symbolic resignification in the perspective of an identity revalidation with social projection. For this I have decided to take the feast of the Virgen del Carmen de La Tirana; Employer event assigned to the Marian cycle and whose realization takes place between the fourteenth and seventeenth of July of each year in the town of the same name in the Norte Grande de Chile. Characterized by a logic of transfer with seat in the Andean and peninsular cultures, it constitutes the ideal space for a task of such nature, since all the possible ontological ones of the symbolism andopampina are displayed in it.
