Abstract

One of the major challenge of environmental ethics in present day is to make possible an extension of the ethical field to other living beings. However, the fundamental obstacle which shows up here is the problem of specisism. To understand the meaning and sense of this term, fundamental in environmental ethics, will allow to probe-among other means of resistance- the role of the imaginary casuistry of fear in order to apply an ethical motive anti-specisism.
