EL SENTIDO EN LA VIDA COMO MEDIADOR DEL IMPACTO DE LA FIBROMIALGIA SOBRE EL BIENESTAR SUBJETIVO

El dolor crónico no solo afecta el funcionamiento biopsicosocial de una persona, sino también el ámbito existencial. Por esta razón, experimentar sentido en la vida puede tener un papel protector en el bienestar de los pacientes con dolor crónico. El objetivo del presente estudio fue explorar la relación entre el impacto de la fibromialgia y el bienestar subjetivo, contemplando el sentido en la vida como variable mediadora. Participaron 402 mujeres con fibromialgia, a las que se les administró un cuestionario para obtener información sobre el impacto de la enfermedad, el sentido en la vida y el bienestar subjetivo. Se realizaron análisis descriptivos e inferenciales con SPSS. Los resultados indicaron que las relaciones fueron la fuente de sentido en la vida con mayor puntuación. Además, se encontró un efecto indirecto significativo del impacto de la fibromialgia sobre el bienestar subjetivo a través del sentido en la vida. Se concluye que el sentido en la vida puede mediar parcialmente el efecto del impacto de la fibromialgia sobre el bienestar subjetivo.
